Merry Christmas

We had a lovely Christmas. My parents decided to play Santa Claus thanks to the amazing yard sales California has and my mom's ability to find whatever she is looking for for cheap. So they came up with a car full of every little girls dream -pretty much every item on their Christmas lists, including a kid size 4-wheeler for Mischief.

They had Christmas Eve dinner with us, and I didnt realize until my dad said something later, but we really shouldnt have seated them by the window. We have very drafty windows. I put up plastic seals but the draft is so bad it just blows them off. Last year putting a thumb tack in each corner helped but it ripped the double sided tape and plastic off from underneath the tack this year!

New pajammas of course, though DQ has had hers for wearing for a few weeks now as I wanted to check the fit. I couldnt find ones her size to match her sisters in a price I was willing to pay.

Christmas morning they older two were up at 3am and I was ever do grateful that we have gone with Mr. Man's family tradition of Santa gifts not being wrapped. They happily played quietly for 2 hours until Mr. Man and I were ready to be awake. He got Sunshine up and my parents showed up shortly after that and got to enjoy the girls opening all their gifts.

A bonus gift was that we really woke to a white Cheistmas!  We have had only one other snowfall this December!

I enjoyed the girls new things as much as they have.  A great new variety of toys at out house.

One of my favorite gifts was this scarf my mom had made for me (by a girl I once baby sat!)

My favorite gift that Mr. Man got was a new toilet for the girls bathroom!  My parents REALLY spoiled us and I am grateful. I haven't looked forward to Christmas so much in many many years!
The girls old toilet was original to the trailer. A fabulous 70s avocado green with butterfly decals (I removed the mayching decals from the tub years ago). It was ugly inside and no matter what you soaked the bowl with or what you scrubbed it with, it never got fully clean and just got worse and worse.

Now we have a lovely white toilet that I think is the perfect height and the slow close seat amuses me far more than it should.

Another great present I recieved was a Hobby Lobby gift card from my dad!  I am not allowed to go to Hobby Lobby on my own....it's a wonderful place that makes me forget about self control and the actual purposes for the money in our bank account....
But today I enjoyed an hour there all by myself and I walked nearly every aisle and took great delight in picking some items for using in taking pictures of Baby #4, which will also be lovely home decor.
I took photos of many things I liked but figured I could make myself for ever so much cheaper.

I hope you all had as merry a Christmas as we did. Now we are counting down the days for this baby girl to be here. We are oh so excited!!

Looks like you had a great time!! As you know, Tony got a snow blower for Christmas... he was THRILLED. Sometimes the best presents aren't the ones you'd normally put a bow on.

Honestly, I was hoping for a new dryer. :)

So glad your dad is doing well. -J
